Sending a Targeted E-Mail
From the administrative control panel:
- Hover your mouse over “E-Mail” and click on “Targeted Mailing”
Basic E-Mail Settings
- Name: Generic reference name for this e-mail.
- From: What should the “From” line for this e-mail be?
- BCC: If you wish to include a BCC on the outgoing e-mails, input the BCC’s e-mail address.
- Subject: Subject for the outgoing e-mail.
- Content: Primary content of the outgoing e-mail. Caller tags can be used in this section of the e-mail to include pertinent information associated with the user’s account, such as his/her username, expiration date, etc..
- Batch Size: Controls how many e-mails are sent at once before a brief break. We recommend leaving this number under 300.[1]
- HTML Format: Ticking this checkbox will mean that you will need to input the e-mail’s “Content” in full HTML. Otherwise the e-mail will be sent in plain text.
- Trackback: Ticking this checkbox will notify you when a user reads the e-mail. Only works if you selected “HTML Format”.
- Save: Ticking this checkbox will save a copy of the outgoing e-mails.
- Attachment: Select whether you wish to attach a file to the outgoing e-mail.[2]
Criteria
Criteria is the basis of a targeted e-mail. Unless you are sending to all users, all leads, or both users and leads, tick the checkbox entitled “Criteria: Users must match certain criteria to receive this email” to select your criteria settings for this e-mail. Any user who receives this e-mail will have to match the criteria that you select.
