Basic Setup
Using an FTP Client:
- Rename the file “89238491825.php” located within the “ppSD2/cc_gateways” directory to any random combination of digits and letters. Ensure that it ends with .php.
From your ppSD2 admin control panel:
- Hover your mouse over “Setup” and click on “Payment Gateways”
- Input the random combination of digits and letters in the “secret return” field (do not include the .php)
PayPal IPN Setup
Highly recommended over Loose Rules! This method confirms the purchase on the PayPal side before redirecting the user back to the ppSD2 system.
From PayPal, ensure that your IPN is turned on:
- “Profile”
- “Instant Payment Notification Preferences”
- Click on “Edit”
- “Tick the checkbox” and enter as URL:
Once PayPal IPN has been activated, edit the following options from the ppSD2 control panel:
- “Setup” > “Options Editor”
- “Payment Gateway” -> Paypal
- “PayPal Account E-Mail” -> Input your PayPal account email
Loose Rules Setup
Loose rules will attempt to confirm the user’s purchase from the ppSD2 side. This method is only recommended if PayPal IPN available to you for one reasons or another.
From within PayPal do the following:
- Click on “My Account”
- Click on “Profile”
- Click on “Website Payment Preferences”
- Set “Auto Return” to “On”
- Set the “Return URL” to the URL of the renamed file. Example (presuming you renamed the file to 9j239fj209j0sjdf.php):
