Creating a Scheduled Email

From the administrative control panel...
- “E-Mail” > “Add a Scheduled E-Mail”
Basic Information
- Name: Input a generic reference name for this e-mail.
- From: This is the e-mail address that will appear in the “From” line of the e-mail that users receive.
- BCC[1]: If you want BCC a specific e-mail address every time this scheduled e-mail is sent, type an e-mail address into this field.
- Subject: This will be used as the subject line on the e-mail that the recipient receives.
- E-Mail Format: Tick the checkbox to send the e-mail is Full HTML. It not ticked, the e-mail will be sent in plain text. Note that the “Trackback” feature only works if the e-mail is sent in the HTML format.
- Content: This is the main content of the e-mail that the recipient will receive. Note that if you are sending this e-mail in the HTML format, you will need to use full HTML on your e-mail. Also remember that caller tags can be used on the e-mail to include pertinent account information.
- Attachment: If you want to include an attachment on this outgoing e-mail, select the file from your local hard drive.
- Trackback: Only available if using HTML Format for the e-mail. A trackback link will inform you when a user opens the email.
- Save: Tick this checkbox if you wish to save a copy of the e-mail every time it is sent out.

Send to All Users?
This section represents specific criteria that will be used to determine who should receive this scheduled e-mail.
Criteria: Users must match certain criteria to receive this email.
Selecting this option will allow you to specify exact criteria that much be present within the user’s account in order for this user to receive this scheduled e-mail.
For example, if you wanted to limit this scheduled e-mail to users within a specific ZIP code or country, you could do that using this feature.
Another commonly used approach is limiting who receives this scheduled e-mail based on what secure area(s) they have access to. Note: Limiting by secure area will only work for users, as leads will not have access to secure areas.

No criteria: send this email to all users.
Selecting this option will send the scheduled e-mail to all users/leads without requiring that they match any additional criteria.
Exclude current users/leads from this scheduled e-mail
If selected, this scheduled e-mail will only be send to users/leads who were added into the database AFTER this scheduled e-mail was created.
