Converting Leads into Users

The ultimate goal of generating a lead is always to convert that lead into a user (customer). There are several ways that the program can do this.

Through Forms

If the lead originally contacted you through a lead generation form, when the lead registers to become a user (this is also done using forms, however in this case a free or paid registration form is used), the program will automatically detect this and update the database accordingly.

Manually Converting a Lead

In the event that a lead purchases a product but does not register using a registration form, you can manually update the database to reflect this conversion and to stop the flow of automated scheduled e-mails by doing the following:

From the administrative control panel:

  1. “Users” > “List Leads” or search for the lead
  2. Find the lead that you wish to convert and then click on the “Convert Lead” icon
  3. Follow the on-screen directions to complete the manual conversion.

Note: Manually converting a lead does not mean that an account will be set up for the lead. If you wish to create a user account for this customer, please see the section on adding an account.

Benefits of Converting a Lead in the Database

Whenever a lead gets marked as “converted”, the program will do the following:

  1. Prevent the user from receiving additional follow-up scheduled emails
  2. Update the program statistics to reflect and track “Lead Conversions”[1]
