Account Statuses
The following are the possible statuses for a user and/or lead:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Active | The user’s account is active. |
| Paused | The user’s account has been paused by the administrator. The user can no longer log into his/her account. |
| Expired | The user’s account is expired. The user can no longer log into his/her account. |
| Pending E-Mail Activation | The user’s account will become active once he/she clicks the activation link that was e-mailed to him/her. |
| Pending Administrative Activation | The account is awaiting activation or rejection by the administrator. |
| Rejected | The account was rejected by the administrator. |
| Incomplete Registration | The user is still in the process of registering. |
Paused Accounts
When an account is paused, the user will not be able to log into his/her account. To pause an account, edit the user and set the status as “Paused”.
Expired Accounts
If a user attempts to log into an expired account, the program handles this in one of two ways:
Display Renewal Page
Within the program options you can determine a product that will act as your “renewal” product. To do this, from the administrative control panel:
- Click on “Setup”
- Click on “Login Related Options”
- Edit the option entitled “Expired Account Action” to “renew”
- Edit the option entitled “Expired Account Renewal Product” and select the renewal product.
- Important: Ensure that the product you select for the renewal process grants the user additional time on his/her account!
Display Error Message
To redirect the user back to the login page and display an error message, do the following from the administrative control panel:
- Click on “Setup”
- Click on “Login Related Options”
- Edit the option entitled “Expired Account Action” to “error”
- Hover your mouse over “Setup” and click on “System Notices & Errors”
- Edit the notice entitled “Account Expired”
Pending E-Mail Confirmation
If the “User Status” on a registration form is set to “Pending E-Mail Activation”, the user will be e-mailed an activation link following the registration process. Until the user clicks the link, his/her account will be inaccessible.
If a user did not receive the activation e-mail, you can search for the user’s account from the admin control panel. From the user management screen, the activation code will be displayed in a blue box. You can send the user a link as follows to allow him/her to complete the registration form:
http://www.yoursite.com/ppSD2/activate.php?code=activation_code_here&username=%username%
